Supporting employers

Multi-regional employer members

The network has a number of high-profile and active employers with a multi-site presence in the country, leveraging the status of their brand and organisation to promote apprenticeships.

Criteria for a multi-regional employer member:

  • Main operations for the member to be an employer
  • Multi-site presence (at least 5 of the 9 AAN regions)
  • Have a well-established apprenticeship programme for at least 3 years

Multi-regional employer members are all expected to sign a commitment pledge to act as Ambassadors. You must:

  • regularly attend AAN national meetings
  • use the weight of your brand/employer to promote apprenticeships by association
  • demonstrate ambassadorial activities aligned to the core activities of the AAN strategy (Celebrating, Signposting, Storytelling and Insight) and be happy to share this publicly as testimonials of your programme
  • promote the benefits of apprenticeships to non-engaged employers and key partners, including your supply chain, schools and individuals
  • promote the Young Apprenticeship Ambassador Network to your apprentices
